Activities with the Lotus Notes 8 client Thursday, Oct 16 2008

From the Lotus Notes 8 client, you can access the Activities server from your sidebar where you can quickly and easily create activities to organize and share information without requiring the participation of IT administrators. Having access to Activities in a sidebar helps to focus attention on the tasks that need completing.

You can drag and drop files from your desktop, e-mails from your inbox, save instant
messages, and post Lotus Notes document and database links or URLs into the activity and
instantly make the information available to all members of the activity. You can add additional
members to the activity at a later date and they will immediately see all of the information
within the activity.

If some of the users that you need to include in your activity do not have a Lotus Notes client,
they can use the Web browser interface to Activities, which will allow them to participate.
